Happy Birthday to our wonderful Earth! We will be learning about why Earth Day is important, playing a fun game and making a sustainable bird feeder together.

Happy Earth Day! It's time to celebrate our wonderful earth together in this fun class. Together we will talk about the Earth and why it is so important that it gets a whole day dedicated to making sure we do everything to keep it healthy and safe. We will go over different ways that small actions add up to make a big difference. We will start off by playing a fun themed Earth Day game of "Would You Rather". Students will be able to pick and choose which suggestion they like the best and see what their classmates choose as well. It is a great way to break the ice and have fun at the same time. Students are able to print out a cute coloring page after registration that they may color in class if they would like. Then they will be able to display this in their home to remind everyone how important it is to take care of the Earth. We will also be making some bird feeders out of natural materials that students can put up outside when they are finished. I encourage students to keep track of how many birds they see coming to their feeder in the next couple of days. I look forward to seeing your learner very soon!

Welcome!
When students are interested in what they are doing, learning they will WANT to learn! I hope that your students will love to learn and become lifelong learners. I want all children to feel comfortable, engaged, encouraged and have fun in my classes I have worked with students from ages 0-14 for over 20 years. I have held several other jobs than teaching which I adored but at this point this is my passion.
My teaching experience comes from multiple sources. Online I have taught thousands of children overseas to learn English through VIPKid. VIPKid (now VIPTeacher) is known for their vigorous standards and training. I have also taught for an elite online program, called Synthesis. Synthesis is an elite program created by the one of the founders of Ad Astra. (Ad Astra is the school that Elon Musk created at SpaceX.) I have also taught thousands of children right here on Outschool since 2020.
Offline teaching experience comes from teaching at a Montessori pre-school, teaching swim and gym classes, summer camps and Sunday school. I also have taught students with a wide range of mental and physical abilities. All students are welcome in my classes and I am willing to make accommodations if requested.
My education consists of a BA in psychology, a BA in Conflict Resolution, TESL, TEOFL, over 40 online teaching certificates, mental health first aid certification, and palliative care certification.
I have two children who are everything to me. I homeschool them and we love going on adventures together. In my spare time I love travelling, baking, camping, Disney, swimming, the beach, water activities, working out, reading and all things full of sparkle and glitter! You can always find me taking a course or earning some kind of certificate.
