In this 6-week class, we focus on phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension to build your child's early literacy skills. The goal is to provide explicit instruction and practice to build a base for literacy.

Beginning Sounds and Word Families
Students will identify beginning sounds, decode and read words from the -at family, read fluently with expression, build vocabulary, and summarize a short text. 45 mins online live lesson
Lesson 3:
Blends and Smooth Reading
Students will decode blends, improve fluency through rereading, expand vocabulary, and make connections in a short passage. 45 mins online live lesson
Lesson 4:
Long Vowel Sounds and Reading Fluently
Students will decode long vowel words, read fluently with expression, expand vocabulary, and comprehend details in a short story. 45 mins online live lesson
