Dyslexia Intervention

This class focuses on phoneme awareness, and linking letters and phonemes (sounds) through writing and reading from texts at the appropriate level to reinforce emergent skills, making learning to read easier.

What's included

8 live meetings
6 in-class hours
Mastery Evaluation
1 hour per week. The following criteria will be assessed after several class sessions to determine if the student knows and applies phonics and word analysis skills in decoding words, reads with sufficient accuracy and fluency to support comprehension, along with demonstrates command of the conventions of standard English capitalization, punctuation, and spelling when writing. Students will be informally assessed during classes with optional feedback upon request.
Assessment
Informal assessment given during sessions to determine if students read with sufficient accuracy and fluency to support comprehension. Demonstrate command of the conventions of standard English capitalization, punctuation, and spelling when writing. This will be discussed with students throughout the class.

This class is intentionally set to support learners with Dyslexia. Contact me to see about setting up a class for older students with Dyslexia.

Plastic letters are helpful and great to have but not required.
