Students will learn the basic rules of the game of dynasty fantasy football and the differences compared to redraft leagues, assess the value of different players, draft picks, and trade opportunities to build their ideal team, and understand how to draft and manage their teams based on weekly, monthly, and NFL-specific trends.

I have been an avid NFL fan for 25 years (Go Pack Go!) and have been playing, commissioning, and analyzing different strategies related to fantasy football for the past 20 years. I have been a contributing writer for a popular sports website where I analyze weekly fantasy football topics and trends and have also published a book on how to play fantasy football and the different strategies needed for a successful season. 

My love for the game stems from the lively interaction I had growing up with my family which has flourished into group hangouts, league discussion boards, and watch events with friends and family members every Sunday afternoon. 

Fantasy football is a passion of mine, along with many others out there; but the connections and friendships that can be built from the analysis, participation, and general discussion of the game is what holds fantasy football in a large part of my heart. Having been a science educator and a coach for the past 15 years has given me the amazing opportunity to have students learn, do, and discuss many different types of skills to help them improve their knowledge, and more importantly, their joy for a topic. I am excited to do that with your learners in this 'how-to-play' fantasy football camp! 

Prior playing experience in a 'traditional', redraft fantasy football league is STRONGLY recommended, along with an interest in the NFL.
