Learners will learn how to divide decimals. If the divisor has a decimal, we will move that first, as well as the decimal point in the dividend. Then we will divide regularly using the standard algorithm, partial quotients, or another method. We will even learn what to do if you have a remainder. We will practice problems both together and individually. I will use the whiteboard on Zoom to present the material to the learners. The learners can use a notebook or the whiteboard on Zoom for practice. Students can ask questions for clarification.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I am a certified teacher, who has been teaching for 23 years. For 22 years, I taught 5th grade (ages 10-11). I taught math, ELA (English language arts), and social studies. Last year, I switched school districts due to moving, where I taught 6th (ages 11-12) and 8th (13-14) grade math virtually. Although I am able to teach other subjects, math is my forte. I know how to break it down, so that the students are able to understand it. I enjoy teaching. I wish that I could teach virtually while sitting by the water relaxing.
