In this one time class, students will be playing a simplified version of Dungeons & Dragons in a Christmas setting.

It is that time of year where the snow flakes fall, the elves are busy getting the last of the toys made, and Santa is extra jolly. It is also time for the Christmas festival to be held by Santa and his elves. All the decorations have been set, tree raised, cookies baked, and hot cocoa made. Now it is time for you and your friends to enjoy the festival eating various treats and participating in various festival games. Like the snow ball fights, sled races, and the cookie eating contest among other festival activities. Do keep an eye out for the Grinch and his minions. While no one has spotted him and the elves have been on high alert it never hurts to help keep an eye out. This class uses a Minecraft Christmas themed one shot Dungeons & Dragons, that I have created, putting the various monsters from Minecraft into Dungeons & Dragons with Minecraft themed characters to play as.

A. -Printed off premade character sheet I provide -Pencil Dice -20 sided -6 sided Or B. -Premade character sheet I provide up on screen -Something to keep track of your characters health(paper+pencil, dial, dice) -Three 6 sided Dice C. If you don't have the right dice you may also use a dice rolling website or app.

Hello!
My name is Devin Bruno. I believe in helping kids learn and grow with engaging activities. I have been teaching youth and the general public about my Native American Culture for over 15 years. I work in an after school program teaching kids board games, magic the gathering, and dungeons and dragons. I have been teaching board games at game shops, conventions, and community events through Double Exposure Envoy for the past 3 years and have been a hobby board gamer many years before then. I have also designed several of my own board game prototypes.
Having them practice various skills like math, teamwork, problem solving, social deduction, outside of the box thinking, and writing. I love it when the kids can have fun while learning and when it gets to the point where they are so excited about it that they are the ones asking if they can play the board game it's even better.
I enjoy teaching anyone about my Native American culture because being able to do activities is much more engaging and rewarding for students then just reading from a text book. Events that I have taught Native American culture includes 4-H, Indian Education, Native American Culture Camps, Salmon Festivals, Art Shows, Native American Rehabilitation Association, and hundreds of school classrooms in Oregon and Washington.
