Class Experience

In this original Dungeons & Dragons campaign, we'll encounter spirits (like the Kitsune), monsters (like the Kappa), and gods/goddess (like the sun goddess Amaterasu) from Japanese mythology and anime. We'll also explore real places, including Tokyo, Kyoto, and Mount Fuji, and meet historical figures from feudal Japan. Players are welcome to create characters that fit the theme, or follow standard D&D conventions.

Role playing games like D&D teach creativity, storytelling, logical reasoning, arithmetic, leadership, and teamwork. By the end of the campaign, players will be even more comfortable with D&D, so they can then lead their own adventures as Dungeon Master with friends and family.

This campaign is intended for players with at least some D&D/tabletop RPG experience. I recommend that first-time players take my Intro to D&D campaign instead: https://outschool.com/classes/dungeons-and-dragons-intro-to-fantasy-roleplaying-xLy12q8M#usu529M6QA

Finally, I recommend checking out my Teacher Profile, especially my Teaching Philosophy section, to make sure this is a fit for your student.

See you in class!

This is an original campaign made by the instructor, all Dungeons & Dragons IP is owned by Wizards of the Coast.

I'm an avid D&D player and experienced Dungeon Master. When I'm not playing, I read D&D fan forums and listen to D&D podcasts to help me brainstorm compelling storylines for my campaigns. In addition to this class, I teach 6 other D&D classes, including the first of its kind on Outschool.
