One part high seas adventure and one part ghost story, this is the first class in a set of loosely connected adventures which all occur within the same world setting. Other classes that continue in this world setting may be freely joined or passed over without students feeling like they missed out on important events from skipped classes. This class is great for first time players of Dungeons & Dragons, but experienced players will also find plenty to enjoy as well. Characters will start at level 1. In this class, the adventurers will have just recently arrived in the port town of Saltmarsh, and before long they hear tales of a haunted house that overlooks the sea cliffs just to the south. Lured by rumors of hoards of gold and magical secrets, or just a desire to see if the ghosts are real, the adventurers soon set out for the mysterious building, only to find even more secrets lie within than they had imagined. Session 1 - The adventurers arrive in Saltmarsh and hear rumors of a haunted house. Deciding to investigate, they travel to the house and meet an unexpected ally as they begin to explore the interior. What secrets will they uncover? What enemies will they make if those secrets are revealed? Session 2 - Within the house, the adventurers encounter another group interested in its secrets and a battle ensues. What lies in the depths of the house that they were so keen on guarding? Session 3 - In the caverns below the house, the adventurers discover another kind of treasure and a hidden passage to the sea. What exactly has been going on in this secret place, and what does it mean for the residents of Saltmarsh? Session 4 - Back in town and rewarded for their efforts, the adventurers are hired by the town elders to board the "Sea Ghost" when it returns to its secret port. Will they succeed in commandeering the elusive ship, or will it sink below the waves? Session 5 - Having found a way to lure the ship and made their way onboard, the adventurers must use either cunning or might to take the ship. Will the small group of heroes survive the final battle? Session 6 - The Sea Ghost is now safely in the hands of the adventurers and Saltmarsh owes them a debt of gratitude, but putting an end to the ship crew's nefarious deeds sheds light on yet further threats. Will the town of Saltmarsh soon call upon the adventurers for aid once again?

I will provide a character sheet if anyone needs it. Students who are new to dungeons & dragons can receive advice outside of class sessions to become more familiar with the game.
