Assessment is informal.Class Experience
In this ongoing class, students will learn how to draw and color flowers using repetition, patterns, and attention to the size and shape of each part of the flower. Learners will participate in free talk while they draw and color. The technique and style for the day will be demonstrated by the teacher, and then students will repeat it on their own paper. Students will pay attention to the size and shape of each part of the pattern that they repeat. Once students understand how to continue, they will work on their drawings while participating in free talk with the rest of the class. After students finish their flower, they will color it in however they wish. At the end of class, everyone will hold up their pictures to share and enjoy. Each week, students will learn a new technique and draw a new style of flower. This will continue for 4 weeks and then repeat. If students do not finish within the time of the class, they can continue drawing outside of class and are welcome to share a picture of their completed flower in the classroom comments.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello! Thank you for sharing this time with me! My name is Mrs. Bloom, and I love teaching kids! My goal is to allow my students to experience learning hands on, and to encourage them to think and express themselves in a positive way. With over 20 years of experience working with kids in multiple capacities, including volunteering at camps, running kids programs, working as a teacher, and raising and homeschooling my own child, I have a huge variety of experiences from which I can pull to create fun and engaging classes for my students! Since we are expected to integrate information from multiple areas when we approach a problem in real life, my classes are taught from this interdisciplinary perspective. This allows students to ask questions, explore, and discover information that is interesting and relevant, motivating them to become lifelong learners. I can't wait for you to join me as we enjoy the art of learning!
