This class teaches the basics of drawing from life and how to draw what you actually see not what you THINK you’re seeing. This class will begin with various types of line drawing using dry materials. This is a skill developing class!

This class is taught through a mixture of lecture and demo followed by implementing practice during class as well as larger project outside of the class. Then reviewing and discussion of those outside projects.

Contour

Parental Guidance
Critiques can be difficult for some students especially when they’ve worked so hard on a project and peers or myself say there can be improvements in some areas.
Supply List
Students will need pencils (drawing pencils preferably) Charcoal pencils Pen Ruler/yard stick Nice drawing paper is preferred but any paper will do large sizes are preferred but a minimum size of 11x14 for projects Sketch book or blank paper for in class work
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
