○ We will begin this exciting lesson by talking about our favorite things to draw, and then go through the steps of drawing a monster together. ○ At each step, students will have the opportunity to make their own decisions based on how they want their monster to look (number of eyes, number of legs, shape of smile, etc.) while learning about basic shape, outline, and color. ○ Students will color their drawings as they wish, and have the chance to discuss and ask questions throughout. ○ At the end, they will be able to share their drawings with each other and think about how else they can apply these new skills. *Because this is a short lesson, students are expected to arrive in a timely manner so that we can cover everything outlined here.

○ Students will gain a basic understanding of shape, outline, and color
○ Students will learn one method of rendering a monster form
