The class will be offered in a "work with me" format. I will show my finished work at the start of class as an example. I will show and name the supplies needed to create the work. I will give a step-by-step demonstration of the artwork and students will create their work with me. We will discuss colors, shapes, characteristics of the animal, and how we feel about our work. Students will be encouraged toward the end of the class to add their own final touches to their work. I will also suggest students write their names on their artwork or to sign it in their own personal way. Students can share their work at the end of class along with me and in the Outschool Classroom after they add their final touches. This class will end with a creative affirmation for everyone.

Learners will practice their fine motor skills, learn how to use art supplies, name colors, and enjoy creating art.

Parental Guidance
Adult assistance and/or supervision of safety scissors use is needed especially for students without previous experience.
Supply List
Construction paper - 1 yellow, 1 orange, 1 black, 1 brown Colored pencils or crayons - 1 black Glue Stick - 1 Safety Scissors - 1 Stencils for the dog will be provided by the teacher in the classroom before class. A coloring sheet will be provided as an alternative to cutting or just for additional fun.

Hello art friends! I'm Ms. Michelle. I'm offering directional and expressive art projects for young learners. I'm an artist with my education in Fine Art. I believe whole heartedly in the Montessori philosophy. I owned Montessori schools for years and I've taught art to thousands of preschool and elementary students in person and online.
Art has always been my happy place where I can be myself, share experiences, and enjoy friends. My art classes will help students practice fine motor skills, follow oral and visual instructions, improve art skills, and express themselves through creativity and social classes.

*Late to Class Policy - If you’re more than 10 minutes late, I reserve the right to not admit you into class. This is a significant interruption in the process of creation for other learners. If there’s another time for the class, I’ll offer a transfer. If there’s a schedule conflict, please msg me for a transfer before class. No refunds for late arrivals. I appreciate your consideration.
