In this class we are going to learn about the artist Andy Warhol. I will have a presentation including different slides about Warhol’s life. Students will learn a little about his life, his style of art “pop art”, and learn how to draw one of his famous paintings “Campbell’s Soup Can”. During the presentation students will be given the opportunity to share what they have learned through quick quizzes. Students will be guided step by step on how to draw the soup can, trace it with Sharpie, and add a splash of color. Students will use a pencil to draw their outline and then use a sharpie to trace all their lines. Finally, students will add red to certain areas of the can. This one time class is a great way for children to learn and grow through art.
Learning Goals
Students will draw their own “Campbell’s Soup Can”.
