Description
Class Experience
I like to ask students what their favorite classes are in school. After students answer, gym, I ask them what academic subject do they like. Science is often the answer. This is meant to be a fun class that will focus on using art to learn about science. The cartoon is meant to provide information in a fun way as well as to spark a discussion on information related to Mars, Jupiter, the asteroid belt, and even talk a little about how NASA has tried to find out if there is other forms of life...
The students will: learn what an asteroid belt is and where one is located in our solar system. learn about the size different between Mars and Jupiter. learn about the difference between a terrestrial planet, and a ‘Gas Giant.’ learn about the length of time Mars and Jupiter take to go around the sun. use different features of the Procreate App.
I was an elementary school teacher and have taught science.
