In this one time class, learners will be given step by step directions to create a cartoon turtle drawing! Directions will be presented on slides making it easy for students to follow along and work at their own pace. While students are drawing, they will learn educational facts about these prehistoric reptiles. Facts students will learn include: life cycle, diet, anatomy, habitats, and variations. During class, students will be able to see short clips of these turtles in action! At the conclusion of class, students will be able to show off their drawing and participate in a jeopardy style game to show off their new knowledge!

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello Parents and Students :)
Welcome to my page!
I am so excited that you found me and I hope we can meet soon!
In the meantime, I would like to tell you more about myself.
I grew up in beautiful upstate New York. In 2014, I graduated with my Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. During my undergraduate education, I explored my interests in the world of teaching. My first role was substitute teacher, which allowed me to teach a variety of age groups across all curriculums. I took a special interest in elementary education as I believe this is the most crucial period for developing foundational skills and a love of learning. After substituting, I became a full-time 1:1 student aid.
In 2015, I met my husband and decided to make a big move to Tennessee. Here, I completed my Master's Degree in Teaching, while working full time as an apprentice teacher. After graduation, I accepted my first independent teaching job as a first grade teacher! The past five years, I have continued to teach my sweet babies in first grade. I have served as team leader, RTI- tier II reading interventionist, and grade-level ESL teacher. I have been through extensive training, including Orton Gillingham, Haggerty, 95 Percent, and Jan Richardson.
Learning should be a fun experience and I strive to reflect that belief in my teaching.
Classes I teach will be interactive, educational, and exciting! I will only teach what I am passionate about so the experience is authentic. You're child will be begging for more learning!
Let's have class together so I can learn more about you!
