In this four-day drama camp, students will enjoy the thrill of performing every class time! We will build our speaking skills and have fun interacting with others who love to perform. Join me and explore one of my favorite things to do!

Beginner - Intermediate Level
🎭 Welcome to Drama for Teens: A Play a Day 🎭 In this one-week drama Camp! Students will enjoy the thrill of performing every class time! We will build our speaking skills and have fun interacting with others who love to perform. Each class: 🌟 will begin with a tongue twister and movement exercises 🌟 then I will share a script (or scripts) onscreen and assign parts! 🌟 we will read through the script(s) and make sure everyone feels confident with their speaking parts and can read all the words. 🌟 Then, we will get up out of our seats and PERFORM! 🎥 WHAT WILL WE BE PERFORMING? 🎥 Please see the Syllabus! Students should expect this to be a fun, worry-free, social time. We are gaining experience talking and being silly in front of our peers...and making some friends along the way. This is the perfect place for those looking to break out of their shell! 🎯 My Class Expectations: Students should be kind and courteous to one another. Students should be supportive and encouraging. Fun, laughter, and energy are always wanted and encouraged, but they should remain focused on our class content. ✅ Prerequisites: Students should be able to read on a 2nd-grade level. 🐶 My Classroom and Teaching Style: My goal is to make learning as happy 🥳 and stress-free as possible! My classroom is fast-paced and interactive. It is a kind, caring, supportive, productive, silly, and just a little bit crazy kind of space! I want students to love class and enjoy showing up to learn with me. Students can only learn when they feel comfortable and safe! I provide that environment for my students, then watch as their learning soars! I will meet each student where he or she is and move them forward.

Syllabus
4 Lessons
over 1 WeekLesson 1:
Harry Potter
On our first day, we will get to know one another, then practice a tongue twister and a few movement exercises. Then, we will read through and perform a scene from the Harry Potter book series. 45 mins online live lesson
Lesson 2:
The Addams Family Musical
After our daily tongue twister and movement exercises, we will read through and then perform a scene from The Addams Family Musical. 45 mins online live lesson
Lesson 3:
The Office
After our daily tongue twister and movement exercises, we will read through and then perform a scene from our favorite TV Sitcom, The Office! Who wants to be Dwight? Pam? 45 mins online live lesson
Lesson 4:
Taylor Swift
On our final day, we will start with a tongue twister and movement exercise. Then, we will read through and perform one of Taylor Swift's songs as a Reader's Theater. We will choose the song at the end of the class on Monday. 45 mins online live lesson
