Score 20 points before time runs out! Get 2 points for every correct problem you solve! Solve them all and win the game!! Learners will take turns solving addition and subtraction math problems with double-digits. They will be given time to solve each math problem, and the teacher will go over a strategy to solve each problem as they go along. Math topics are first-2nd grade aligned and ideal for those in first grade who need more support or practice with addition and subtraction! There will be opportunities for the child to interact with the teacher through questioning and sharing of answers if they are comfortable. Students will use the chat box to send the teacher answers privately. My goal is for all learners to have fun while moving and learning! Note: It will be helpful if your child knows how to "unmute" themselves and how to enter an answer in the "chat" function.
Learning Goals
Students will improve their math skills in the areas of using mental math, doubles fact, near doubles, ten-frame or an open number line to solve addition and subtraction problems with double digits!

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello! My name is Jessica Gibbs. I teach phonics, decoding and reading fluency classes as well as math fluency classes.
I am currently just finished my 7th year of teaching. I am certified to teach Pre-k to 4th grade. I am also currently in pursuit of obtaining my National Boards in literacy for grades K-8! I have taught 3 years of second grade and 4 years teaching 1st grade. I love it. I have taught in inner city schools in West Philadelphia, where I am from, but I am currently now teaching in Charlotte, North Carolina.
I love teaching with a passion and believe that every child deserves to feel important, special and successful and that is part of a teachers job. Kids all learn in different ways and I look to differentiate my teaching and lessons as much as possible.
I love basketball and played in college. I have a cockapoo named Zoey who I adore!
