In this two-session class, we will discuss how to use our language's road signs: commas, quotation marks, parentheses, colons and semi-colons.

Session One will examine the infantry soldier of punctuation: the comma. Topics include series, independent and dependent clauses, direct address and others. Session Two will cover all the other punctuation. In both classes, Power Point slide shows will detail the uses involved.

Students will be exposed to each situation where a specific punctuation should be used.
