It is time to doodle! In this 4 week class students will use simple lines and shapes to create a doodle style drawing of summer inspired subjects. We will practice drawing various line types that will be used to create the simplified drawings. We will begin with pencil, add marker and finish with quick color. The class will be engaging and fun, celebrating summer! I will guide drawing but students are free to make changes and individual creative choices. During the class two cameras will be used. Students will be able to see my drawing and listen to my instructions along the way. Questions and conversation are welcomed as we work. At the conclusion of the class all sharing will be optional. No previous experience required Week 1 - Pineapple Week 2 - Shell Week 3 - Flamingo Week 4 - Hibiscus

Hello! My name is Kim. I am passionate about Art, it truly makes our world a better place! I have taught art in public schools for over 8 years and privately for 4 years. However, I have loved art since I was a small child! I have always loved doodling! Sharing the love of art with students is especially fun. In addition I have taught Preschool for over 2 years.
I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Art Education from The College of New Jersey with a minor in Psychology, concentration in Art Therapy. During those studies I worked on various areas of art from sculpture, to printmaking to color theory and much more. In addition I studied the art of teaching specifically in the area of art education. I also have a Masters in the Art of Teaching from Marygrove College.
I live in a coastal town with my husband, 3 girls and miniature goldendoodle. Besides creating art and being crafty I enjoy baking, reading and traveling...especially to Disney World! Can't wait to see you in class.Reviews
