Class Experience

We will read about, discuss, and practice proper table manners including the proper use of a napkin and each utensil. We will also discuss chewing with our lips closed, waiting for foods to be passed to us, speaking with a quiet voice, showing respect, keeping elbows off the table, and other commonly held table manners. We will also discuss the reasons it is important to use good table manners.

The story will be shared using slides and we will look at pictures of both proper and improper behavior at the table. Students will evaluate each with a thumbs up or thumbs down and give reasons why improper behaviors are unacceptable.

All this will be done in a kid-friendly way that is fun, engaging, and memorable!

I believe in making learning fun and supporting a high level of learner engagement!
I love writing children's books that teach academic and social concepts using stories that kids can relate to. I believe in the power of stories to teach content and in hands-on learning to strengthen understanding.
I look forward to working with you and your child!
