Description
Class Experience
In this class, the content will be presented in a lecture format using PowerPoint slides. I will discuss the components and structure of DNA and RNA, so some prior background in chemistry and biology is needed. The learners can draw or make models of the structures, while I present them, if they choose. I will introduce the "Central Dogma of Molecular Biology:" DNA replication, DNA transcription into RNA, and RNA translation into protein. The learners will be encouraged to ask...
The students will learn about the structure of DNA and RNA and be introduced to the "Central Dogma of Molecular Biology."
Students may wish to have paper & pencil for note taking and to draw structures.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
