DIY Montessori-On-Demand: Using Our Senses | Tactile Shape Exploration | Part 3, builds and grows your learner's sensory development through Montessori principles. This course supports your child in enhancing their sensory exploration skills, focusing on developing their stereognostic sense—the ability to recognize and understand objects through touch alone. We are proud to be the first and only accredited Montessori school on the Outschool platform, featuring certified teachers who bring their expertise from our brick-and-mortar school located in Ontario, Canada. In this engaging and informative course, you will dive into the Montessori approach to sensorial education, emphasizing the development of your child's sense of touch and spatial awareness. The course covers essential topics such as identifying and differentiating various shapes solely by tactile input. Through carefully crafted activities, your child will refine their ability to perceive and classify shapes without relying on visual cues, promoting deeper cognitive and sensory integration. The course is thoughtfully structured into weekly segments, each designed to target specific learning outcomes. Each unit begins with a video that introduces the purpose of the activity, outlines the materials needed, and provides step-by-step instructions. These videos are complemented by printable resources, offering additional tools to support and enhance the Montessori experience at home. Throughout the videos, you’ll find presenter tips and insights aimed at maximizing the effectiveness of each activity and ensuring a successful learning experience for your child. Our videos demonstrate how to create Montessori materials using common supplies, eliminating the need to purchase additional resources. Students are highly encouraged to actively participate by reviewing the class content and applying Montessori methods at home, fostering a collaborative and hands-on learning experience that deepens understanding and engagement. Our teaching style is designed to be both fun and engaging, while maintaining a productive focus on achieving the desired learning outcomes. The self-paced format allows you to explore the activities at your convenience, with interactive and dynamic exercises that keep your child’s interest and enthusiasm. Each video and resource is crafted to provide a comprehensive understanding of the activities, ensuring that you feel confident and well-prepared through the sensory exploration journey. Although this course is self-paced, you are not alone in this educational journey. Learners have the opportunity to book individual meetings with the teacher to ask questions, seek personalized guidance, or receive feedback on how to effectively implement the activities. This support ensures that you have the resources and assistance needed to successfully integrate Montessori principles into your child's learning environment. Through this course, children will be equipped to develop their tactile skills and spatial awareness using Montessori methods, making sensory exploration both enjoyable and educational. Join us in fostering your child’s sensory development and cognitive growth through engaging, hands-on learning experiences.
