This class will focus on practicing long division. We will use multiplication facts to help solve division problems. This is a practice class, so some knowledge of long division is helpful. A multiplication table will be provided to each student prior to class and should be used as a tool when solving division problems. I teach using I do, We do, You do. I will model how to solve a division problem first. Then, we will solve together. Lastly, students will solve independently. During class, we will practice solving word problems as well. Optional homework will be assigned to help practice skills learned in class.

Students will be able to solve long division problems using multiplication facts.

Hello! I am currently an online ESL teacher, but I have an educational background in Elementary Education. I have taught students (K-5) in private school and charter school settings. I have over 11 years of teaching experience.
I have a passion for teaching. I have always wanted to be a teacher, since 3rd grade to be exact (WOW! That was so long ago). I believe each student is unique and different. In my everyday life, I am a mother of two. My son is 18 and my daughter is 14. My daughter is also a competitive gymnast, so we spend a lot of our time at the gym. I enjoy reading and try to read a little every day. I also have a passion for photography.
