Class experience

US Grade 2 - 5
Students will learn how multiplication and division connect within the 1-12 times table.
They will learn different methods for dividing multiple digit numbers.
Concepts such as 'fact families' enable students to make connections between times tables and between multiplication and division.
For students who want extra challenge I will introduce the connection to future math concepts such as square numbers and square roots.
As a qualified Middle and High School Math Teacher I am passionate about making Math fun and engaging.
I believe that we all learn best when we are having fun and my courses are highly interactive and personalised.

I am here to support you in your quest to keep your child learning. Let me help you to support your child to build their confidence and competence with their Math.
Homework Offered
30 minutes recall practice before each lesson is recommended to embed learning. Exercises and games will be provided for students and parents to support their child through play.
2 - 4 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Throughout the classes there are several low-stake quizzes to assess learning. There are review questions at the start of each lesson which students are required to share with their teacher. There is an end test at the end of the course to assess progress and feedback will be provided to students and parents (on request) on what they need to work on next.
Grades Offered
 1 file available upon enrollment
Equip yourself for success: Pencils and paper. A mini whiteboard, white board pen and eraser (optional) I will provide you with a multiplication square and it would be great if it is printed off and put in a plastic punched pocket or laminated. (optional) Printed resources to use during lessons and in between lessons. Printed resources are required for the first lesson. Please let me know if you don't have a printer so I can ensure that you know what resources will be most helpful to prepare by hand?
