Class Experience

This class will help you to understand what division is and how it works by using a variety of strategies to solve problems up to 15. Students will learn to solve problems using equal grouping, array, repeat subtraction, and fact families. If the students are ready and we have time we may also dip into basic long division with single-digit divisor. I will attach worksheets before class that the student can print. One will be notes on what we will be learning for the student to refer to on a later date and the other to use during class or the student is welcome to write the practice problems out themselves. This class will be small so I can really help each student. Students should have some prior knowledge in addition, subtraction, and multiplication. Please have one small shorting item; such as cheerios, skittles, legos, or what ever you have a lot of around the house. Students also need paper, pencils and an eraser.
