Don't let division be a struggle, try my unique way to learn to divide. We will start by reviewing the definition of division as it relates to multiplication. We will use of physical objects for this. Your child will need any of the following objects for this: pennies, beans, or buttons are some suggestions (Other objects may be substituted). In the next step, I will guide the student to use paper and pencil to connect the physical objects to the paper algorithm. Then the final goal will be to use the algorithm to divide without the objects. They will also learn the vocabulary related to division. (divisor, dividend, quotient)
