Class Experience

Join me as I help history come to life through creative storytelling. At the beginning of the class, students will be given a challenge of building a famous landmark (some classes will have a variety to choices) from the country of the day. They will be encouraged to give their own twist and to think outside of the box, as they recreate the landmark. We will learn interesting facts about the country, such as local foods, the country's flag and what it represents, where they are on the globe, and some unusual facts, as we build. During our visit to France, we will visit the Notre Dame, explore the mystery of Mona Lisa and the Louvre, find out secrets of the Eiffel Tower, learn the story behind the Arc de Triomphe, and many other famous French landmarks. Class discussion will be encouraged as we talk about our favorite things about the country, what we would like to visit, eat, and do. If some students decide to create a very detailed creation and are unable to complete it during the class time, they will be encouraged to post a picture of the completed design in the classroom. History should never be boring and I hope you are able to join me in a class full of untold stories from the past.
