Throughout this course, participants will dive into STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) or STEAM (adding Art to STEM) by creating visually stunning and scientifically accurate illustrations. STEAM experience. Course Structure: Each class begins with a short, engaging lesson on the scientific topic of the day. Following this, students will receive step-by-step guidance on how to illustrate these concepts using Procreate. They'll learn essential digital art techniques, including layering, shading, and using various brushes and effects to enhance their artwork. Materials Needed: An iPad with the Procreate app installed A stylus (Apple Pencil recommended) iPhone and Stylus Also ok A willingness to explore the wonders of science and art! Learning Goals Understanding Digital Tools: Students will become proficient in using Procreate, including its various brushes, layers, and other digital art tools. Students will learn to import and manipulate images, create custom brushes, and use the app's features to enhance their scientific illustrations. Scientific Visualization: Students will develop the ability to visualize and illustrate scientific concepts accurately, such as anatomical structures, chemical compounds, or ecological systems. Students will learn to create detailed, labeled diagrams that can be used in science presentations and reports.
