I believe children learn best through play and fun. For thirty plus years I have relied upon this knowledge to help young children learn. Kids want to read and love being read to. Books help kids learn about how other people live, think and feel. Reading to young children is the best way to encourage and promote good readers. 
I have been a teacher for over 35 years and much of that time has been spent in early childhood education and in adult education (Teaching teachers). I have a degree in education and have certificates in ESL and in Infant Toddler studies. I love teaching children and adults, alike. I have worked in multi-cultural environments teaching children, including being an ESL teacher for Chinese children, and administering childcare programs for high profile international clients.

Parents should continue to discuss the story with their child after class, emphasizing their own family values. I encourage you to download the after class questions and activities to complete with your child.
