Homework
1 hour per week. Each week, learners will be given a variety of homework assignments. These will be worksheets and coloring sheets, creating their own stories, and watching short videos on Youtube.Grading

He's sweet, cuddly, and stuffed full of fluff! In this class, we will learn about the life of A.A. Milne, the author of the Winnie the Pooh stories. We will explore his life and inspiration for the stories, how they were received by the world, and the impact the stories had on the world. Students will learn: Class 1 - His childhood and education; Joining the military and fighting in WWI; Getting married and having a son named Christopher Robin Class 2 - Life after the military; Early writing career; Poetry and Plays Class 3 - The real life Winnie the bear; Inspiration for the stories; Success and public reaction Class 4 - Legacy and how the world sees his characters today Each week, by Wednesday evening (9pm PST) - -I will email each student a link that weeks lecture and assignments. This will be on YouTube and is in a private account that is embedded into the Outschool classroom page. - Assignments will consist of discussion and essay questions, short research topics, Youtube videos, and worksheets. These will be posted on the classroom page. - In my flex classes, each family can determine the level of participation in the course. - Communication will be done through the Outschool classroom. -I will check in with each student several times during the week to check on progress of the homework, address any questions, or to engage in a discussion about the topic covered. Learning Goals
In this class, learners will explore the creative world of A. A. Milne. We will look at how his life shaped his stories, where his inspiration came from, and how we can harness that imagination in each of us.

Parental Guidance
Milne was deeply affected by his time in WWI. We will be talking about how this shaped his life, and how he reacted to the publics reaction to his stories. All topics will be handled in an age appropriate manner.
This class will utilize Youtube videos for sharing of lecture videos, as well as supplemental lessons. All Youtube videos are embedded into the Outschool platform. This class may also utilize Kahoot. Learners will be given a direct link and game pin to play.

I have been an educator on Outschool since February of 2018. I have my MBA and MHA, both of which have taught me the value of conducting research and asking questions.
