Directed Drawing a Kitty Cat With Oil Pastels | Self-Paced

In this class, students will learn how to use oil pastels to create a Kitty Cat design! Designed with beginners in mind, this pre-recorded video class is suitable for ages 5-8. 

The teaching process used for this class is a step-by-step method that will inspire students into creative action! This process involves observing, following instructions, and creating until each student is happy with the outcome. 

Students will learn basic oil pastel techniques and apply these techniques to complete this project. This art class is designed to give beginner artists the skills they need to jump-start their artistic journey into self-expression, reflection, and creative thinking. 

Supplies and materials needed for this class: 

+black paper (card stock or construction paper works great!)
+set of oil pastels
+paper towel

Total time needed for students to complete this project is approximately 40 minutes.

This is a self-paced video class where students may proceed through the art lesson at their own pace. Video may be paused at any time. There will be no live meetings, however, I will be available for questions and gentle encouragement. 

It is important to me that your learner's experience is a positive one. My teaching style is relaxed, supportive, joyful, and fun. I encourage students to add their own details to their masterpiece to make it their own. I'm open to any comments, questions, or feedback that you may have.
