Class Experience

In this ongoing Dinosaur Camp, we will meet weekly for some dinosaur fun! My first dinosaur camp was so popular, and very hard to end, that I wanted to make another camp! The first camp ended at 16 weeks, so there are so many dinosaurs to still learn about! If your child was part of the first camp, this is new content so they are welcome to join this one! If your child did not come to the first camp, no worries! You can still join this one, as they do not build off of each other! Whether you have been in my classes before, or are brand new to my teaching, I would love to have you join the fun.

We will meet weekly, and the day of the week will be based on the session you choose. There will be multiple days, so choose the one that fits your schedule best! Something I really enjoy about ongoing classes/camps is that the children have the opportunity to build friendships while learning about something they love!

Each week, we will have a themed activity, and along with that, your child will learn about two dinosaurs each class. A supply list will be provided the week before for each class, so parents have time to grab supplies in advance.

**Please message me to find out which week we are on, as I have several sessions going for this camp. Students are welcome to jump in at any week!**

Also, once you enroll, I will send you the supply list so you can prepare for your child's first camp class! This camp has been very popular, so I am continuing to add classes, as long as the students continue to show interest!

I am a teacher that enjoys fun and interactive learning! I don’t like putting students on mute unless it is a disruption to the other students and their learning. I enjoy listening to the students talk to each other, sharing their love for dinosaurs. This must all be done in a respectful and controlled environment, so we make sure to discuss rules and expectations during each class. There will be a lot of learning, a lot of fun, hands on activities, and a lot of opportunity for the children to bond and make friends!
Learning Goals
Students will build upon their love of dinosaurs with new facts of already known dinosaurs, as well as brand new ones they may not already know! We will use problem solving, fine motor, communication, and so much more!

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello! My name is Ms.Heather! I am married to Kenny, and we have a beautiful four year old boy, Alyas! My family and I are full-time living in a travel trailer, traveling the country! I was a Pre-K and Kindergarten teacher for 5+ years, have taught ESL online for 4 years to children ages 3-16 in China, and was the Director of a Developmental Day School for 3 years! I have a B.A. in Psychology with a Minor in Child Development from Ashford University. I absolutely love children and I have a passion for helping them learn! I believe every child is unique, and I make sure to keep this in mind during my teaching! I like to see each child's personality come out through the activity/craft, and not have everything look just like the other student's work. When working on my lessons, I think outside the box in order to make it fun and engaging for all of the students! Children tend to want to learn when they are having fun doing it. I love a challenge and I truly enjoy seeing a child overcome something they work so hard at! I am a very patient teacher and I enjoy having fun with the children while we learn! I was very shy before I started my teaching career, and what helped me break out of my shell was being silly, so I enjoy doing this with my class too! When planning my lessons, I make sure to give myself enough time to get through the whole lesson, but I also allow for flexibility, as lesson plans will not always go as planned. Children like to talk and I see nothing wrong with this, as we can learn just as much talking as we can with me teaching from the lesson itself! I like to have interactive classes, where all children are involved and enjoying themselves! If your child is shy and does not want to talk, that is okay too!
