In this one time session, students will practice short and long division to gain confidence in mathematics.

US Grade 4 - 7
This class will meet one time. The first ten minutes will go over tips for both short and long division. Then, the next fifteen minutes, I will do two short division problems and two long division problems with the students. The next ten minutes, we will work through one short division and one long division problem together. The last ten minutes, students will do some practice on their own where I can assess how well they know division and give them a few pointers on their work. After class, students will do 5 problems that they will submit on the classroom page for a final assessment to see if they have mastered division.
Learning Goals
Students will learn how to become confident in dividing using a variety of tips and strategies to help them.
