DIE: The Roleplaying Game (DnD alternative)
A LGBTQ+ friendly tabletop RPG based on the DIE comic, created by Kieron Gillen and Stephanie Hans, and produced by the makers of Spire and Heart. Let's get your queer dark adventure on! (Think goth Dungeons and Dragons or Jumanjji!)

Dive into “Goth Jumanji” and experience a world that will make you question not just the games you play but your very essence as a player, and as a human. In DIE you will create two personas: one to represent the person playing the game and the other the actual character you play. Fill your player persona with joy, sorrow, and trauma to your hearts galore; make them as real as possible. And then witness as they are tormented by every loving detail you added to them. Your player personas will be dragged into the very game they created and are forced to confront all their demons in various forms. Each episode will focus on a your characters however you choose to torment them; be it combat, heartbreak, or pure horror. Willyou be able to survive a trip to a traumatic world of your own making? Who will you be when you return? If you return. Make your version of the iconic characters of the comic, each of whom is a weird riff on the classic RPG classes: — Dictators are vile bards of the heart who manipulate emotions and bring down nations with a single whisper. — Fools are blessed with great luck and with a penchant for piracy, anarchy, and generally doing whatever they please. — Emotion Knights harness a singular, all-consuming emotion to turn sentient weapons into handheld natural disasters. — Neos are the perfect combo of tech, magic, and roguish charm all powered fancy magic RPG gold paid to stingy space aliens. — Godbinders make deals with their gods for great power and hopefully only mildly terrible consequences. — Masters (played by the GM) are reality-warping, 4th wall breaking, meta mages who control the very fabric of existence with phenomenal cosmic magic and only like 35% cheating. The DIE RPG uses an original rules system written by Kieron Gillen and playtested by Rowan, Rook and Decard to make it into the ultimate expression of DIE. If you have played with me before, then you know how this goes! Classes are fast-paced improvised scenarios in which drama and action unfold in wild and unpredictable ways. They are structured around free expression and creativity, imploring learners to embrace their imaginations and fully interact with the game and all the drama unfolds. Participation is required in all my RPG classes.
