Class Experience

US Grade Kindergarten - 1
You have bought a golden ticket for a tour of the McFluffy Chocolate Factory.
You will be welcomed on your tour by Kitty Kat Meow McFluffy who will be your guide.
Once inside you quickly notice that something is wrong.
Someone has turned the hot chocolate tap on, the door is blocked and the cocoa levels are rising.
It's a race against time to override the security system, stop the hot chocolate tap and open up the plughole in the bottom of the factory before it fills with chocolate.
Can you find the way out before your time is up and the chocolate factory is destroyed?

Learners will have to solve puzzles presented on slides and use math skills to solve the mystery. There will be individual and group tasks set and students will share their answers with the group.
This is an inclusive class and I welcome students with learning difficulties alongside those who are confident in number recognition, counting addition, and subtraction within 20. Please let me know of any additional needs so that I can differentiate my questioning.

If you enjoy this class then you may like to join The Kitty Kat Detective Agency for some of my other adventure classes or the Kitty Kat Detective Social Club.
Learning Goals
Students will improve their confidence in maths skills including counting to 100, number bonds to 10, addition and subtraction with objects to 30.

This class can be adapted to support learners who need confidence in early maths skills including recognising numbers, more and less and counting to 10.
