Hey there, fellow trainers! 🌟 Get ready for an awesome, super-creative class where we're diving into the magical world of Pokémon cards! In this class, we're going to let our imagination run wild as we dream up, design and draw our very own Pokémon cards. Whether you're into drawing your all-time favorite Pokémon, creating a fusion of existing ones, or inventing a brand new Pokémon from scratch, this class is for you! 🎨 We'll come together to chat about our beloved Pokémon and share what makes them special to us. Then, we'll roll up our sleeves and start designing. I'll be there with tons of cool ideas to boost your creativity, and we can bounce these ideas around and make exciting plans. Ever wondered what type or types your Pokémon would be? Or what epic attacks and potential evolutions it could have? We'll brainstorm and decide all of that together! You can take the easy route and use the provided templates, or go freestyle and draw the entire card on paper if that's more your style. It's all about having fun and letting your inner artist shine! I'm super excited to see the incredible creations you'll come up with in my Pokémon card designing class. Let's make some Pokémon magic happen! 🌟🌟 Please Note: This class is focussed on a creative expression of our Pokémon discussions rather than teaching drawing techniques. If your Pokémon fan enjoys rich discussions and creativity then they will love this class! (Picture design by fangzea artz, used with permission)

Hi, I'm Astrid and I am a mum of two, and a teacher based in the United Kingdom. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Nutrition and Dietetics, and I have a Postgraduate degree in teaching Design and Technology. I have worked in schools for over 14 years, and am excited to bring my skills to an online platform.
I love to cook (unless it's dinner - e.v.e.r.y.d.a.y!!), to craft, and my guilty pleasure is gaming! I play Brawl Stars every single day, and I love Roblox (especially Bloxburg!) and Among Us! I am a HUGE Pokémon nerd and love to play Pokémon Go. Expect to see my classes based around these things, because when you love something, it's easy to enthuse others!
I love working with young people and sharing my love of craft & design, textiles, food and gaming, in a fun, engaging and inclusive way. Through seeing the difficulties of my own neurodivergent children in mainstream education, I know first hand of the importance of inclusivity, and strive to make my own lessons both enjoyable and accessible to any learner who wishes to enrol. I like to lead by example, and "make and do" along with the learners, so I am able to cater for a variety of learning styles.
Most of my classes are ongoing, weekly sessions, but these can be also used as one-time classes.
In the aftermath of these difficult times of social distancing, my gaming classes provide a great way for young people to safely connect with their peers and have fun!
I can't wait to welcome you to my classroom!
My class policies:
Subscription (ongoing) classes are billed weekly on a Sunday and can be cancelled on the learner page at any time in advance. Please feel free to attend my ongoing classes just once, by stopping the subscription after class.
Refunds cannot be offered for missed classes, but I offer a flexible transfer policy. Transfer requests must be made 24 hours in advance, and to a different time slot of the same class. Thank you for supporting these policies, that help me maintain smaller class sizes.
