Beginner Level
This 8-week course, "Descubre el Español: Nivel Principiante A1," is designed for young learners just starting their journey in Spanish. We’ll cover fundamental topics such as greetings, numbers, colors, family, animals, food, and everyday phrases. By the end of the course, students will have a solid foundation in basic Spanish vocabulary and simple conversational skills, following the CEFR A1/ACTFL Novice standards. Each class follows a clear structure: 1. Introduction and Warm-up: Quick recap of previous lessons and introduction to the new topic. 2. Main Lesson: Teach vocabulary and phrases using slides, visual aids, and interactive activities. 3. Practice and Engagement: Students will apply their learning through games, role-play scenarios, or partner activities earned. 4. Wrap-up and Q&A: We’ll review key points, answer any questions, and assign an optional activity to practice at home. I use a dynamic, interactive teaching style that caters to young learners. I incorporate visuals, slides, and occasional video clips to enhance understanding and keep students engaged. Games and fun activities are an integral part of each class to ensure that learning is enjoyable and interactive. I focus on creating a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable speaking and participating. My goal is to foster confidence and curiosity, allowing students to explore the language in a fun, relaxed setting. Each class is full of interactive practice, where students participate in conversations, answer questions, and use newly learned words in context. Students will have plenty of opportunities to interact with me directly: - Lecture segments will be short and followed by discussion and participation. - Interactive games will involve everyone, helping them practice vocabulary in a fun way. - Breakout activities like partner conversations and role-play will allow students to speak Spanish in real-world scenarios. - I’ll provide feedback and guidance throughout, ensuring every student has a chance to practice speaking and ask questions.
