Class Experience
In this class, students will learn about a variety of places in Paris. They will start in Mont Martre with a tour of Sacre Coeur, they'll visit the Dali museum, then head to the Musee de l'Orangerie to see Monet's Water Lillies. Next they'll take a VR tour of the Louvre and the Musee D'Orsay. They'll finish up with visits to the Parisian architectural landmarks of the Arc de Triomphe, Eiffel Tower, and Notre Dame. The course is divided into 4 parts and one occurs each week. 1. Sacre-Coeur, Dali Paris 2.Musee de L'Orangerie, and Angelina cafe. 3. Louvre and Musee D'Orsay 4. Arc de Triomphe, Eiffel Tower, Luxembourg Gardens, and Notre Dame. Each section features a bird's eye walk through of those places in Paris and a virtual experience of some kind (video, panorama, slideshow). These will be supplemented by readings on each location that the student will need to read and discuss with the teacher and any other students in the class. Discussion questions will be posted at the beginning of the week and students should try to respond to the initial question within 48 hours, in addition to responding to their classmates if they have any. As they complete each section, students will stop and have a short discussion via the message board about their favorite parts of that section.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello! I'm Maggie. I teach English language and literature classes, as well as some life skills classes. I've been teaching for 5 years (this will be my sixth!) and I've taught in Vermont and in Thailand. My degrees are in English and Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages, but my passion is in connecting student interests to necessary skills. I truly believe that each student is unique and learns in their own way, developing their own path and areas of expertise. Personally, I enjoy learning, both about myself and about the world, through travel. Currently, I've been to Iceland, Ireland, England, Scotland, France, Belgium, Italy, India, Thailand, Cambodia, Australia, and Canada. I'm always looking for the next learning adventure!
