Beginner Level
In this class we will explore what it is like to be a veterinarian! This class is discussion based with participation encouraged. We will talk about some of the types of veterinary practices there are including small animal, equine, zoo and more! Students will learn about what a veterinarian might do during their day such as physical exams, surgery, X-rays, and more! Learners will be provided with worksheets/coloring pages to print out to color as we have fun learning about a day as a vet! This is an introductory class and no previous knowledge is needed. No homework will be assigned but additional video links will be added to the classroom for additional learning if the learner would like to learn a bit more!

I have been a certified veterinary technician for many years and have a MEd from Colorado State University. I am also now finishing up my second Master’s program and will have a Master of Veterinary Education (MVEd) from Lincoln Memorial University’s School of Veterinary Medicine by spring 2024.
I am passionate about helping people care for their animals the best they can!
I have been an instructor at local colleges in a nationally accredited veterinary assistant program, an equine studies program and have previously taught a variety of classes for kids on campus in the Excursions in Learning program. I have been teaching on Outschool since 2017 and I am so excited to share my experiences with learner who are passionate about caring for animals too!
