Class Experience

Dance With Miss Amy is a Holiday Themed Ongoing Dance Class. This class will change themes based on the upcoming holiday or season. Learners are encouraged to wear costumes, clothes or colors that match the upcoming holiday or season for celebration and fun, however, this is not required. Dance with Miss Amy: Holiday Themed Ongoing Dance Class is created for beginners. No previous dance experience is necessary. Dance and movement will be taught during class. These movements will be both technique based, and fun and creative movement that might reflect the upcoming season/holiday. Songs will be kid friendly and season appropriate.

Upcoming Holiday/Season: Halloween

Week of Sept 17: Scooby Doo, Where are You?
Week of Sept 24: I Picked One Pumpkin from the Meadow
Week of Oct 1: Monster Boogie (dance remix)
Week of Oct 8: What am I going to be (for Halloween)
Week of Oct 15: Halloween Train
Week of Oct 22: Monster Mash

Each class will begin and end with the learners sharing. At the beginning of class, each learner will get the chance to answer the question of the day. This question will be along the lines of "Tell me about your Halloween costume", or "What is your favorite candy/sweet", or "What is your favorite thing to do with your family during this holiday", etc.

Class will end with the learners getting to share. This can either be a show and tell moment with an item the learner loves and has brought to class with them, or the learner can show me their favorite dance move that we did in class. The choice will be up to the learner.

Due to the nature of the class, after the beginning of class share time, learners will be muted so that all learners can experience the best quality class. Please help your learner know how to unmute themselves, or please be nearby at the end of class to assist your learner with unmuting when it is their time to share.

Learners may have a water bottle nearby to grab a quick sip when needed. Please let your learner know that if they need to use the restroom during class, they may. They can just go quickly and return without missing very much, and will be caught back up for the dance.
