Class experience
Dance With Miss Amy is a Holiday Themed Ongoing Dance Class. This class will change themes based on the upcoming holiday or season. Learners are encouraged to wear costumes, clothes or colors that match the upcoming holiday or season for celebration and fun, however, this is not required. Each class dancers will learn dance movement, technique and terminology. Possible movements include, but are not limited to: plie, tondue, releve, port de bras, posse, pique, degage, grand battement, chaine, saute, eschappe, chasse, skips, hops, leaps. etc. Learners will also get a chance to use creative movement to give our Holiday Dances a seasonal flair. We will practice balance, flexibility, and coordination skills. We will be creative and sometimes silly. And most of all we will have FUN!
Please create a space that is open and large enough for your dancer to move, dance, jump and glide without bumping into things. Learners should wear comfortable clothing that they can easily move in. Ballet or Princess attire is encourage, but not required. Learners should either wear ballet shoes or have bare feet. Please no socks, as dancers can easily slip while wearing them. Dancers may have a water bottle nearby, and take a sip when needed. Please help your learner know how to mute and unmute themselves. There could be times during the class when this skill is needed.
