Class Experience
Each day, students will practice a technique to help release the worried thoughts of the mind about things such as tests coming up, issues with friends, feeling low self-esteem, and other challenges they are dealing with. We will practice simple techniques such as listening to sounds around us, 4-sided breathing, HeartMath techniques, moving meditations, mindful art, and more. This is not therapy by any means. The purpose of each meeting is to be a time of guided meditation to help learners feel relief in their day and a recharge of peace and positivity. Week of 11/28, 11,29, 11/30 This week we will focus on being mindful in the moment with listening, observing, breathing, drawing, eating (imagined or real) Week of 12/12, 12/13, 12/14 This week we will focus on heart-focused breathing, 4-sided breath, and mantras and affirmations. Week of 12/19, 12/20, 12/21 This week we will focus on imagination for relaxation, moving meditation, and using nature to help relieve stress and anxiety.
