Class Experience

We will be teaching Grade 4-5 Math. The class may have worksheets and activities. We may use games, slides, video, images, manipulatives to teach the material. We will be using the interactive whiteboard on Zoom so students are encouraged to provide their share of their responses using a mouse, in the chat box or using a drawing tablet.

covers: Triangles, Line symmetry, Word Problems

covers: Mixed numbers, equivalents fractions, comparing fractions, multiplying fractions by whole numbers, 

Week of  (Oct 28) Decimals
covers: place value, Tenths, adding and subtracting tenths

Week of  (Nov 4) Decimals
covers: addition and subtracting hundredths, Decimals with measuring units

Week of  (Nov 11) Four Operations
covers: Mental math, adding, subtraction, multiplication, division, divisibility rules, factors, primes, prime factorization

Week of (Nov 18) Large Numbers 
covers: place value, billions, exponents, powers, rounding, estimating

Covers: how to use the calculator to calculate large numbers, exponents, estimation, rounding, application, word problems

I have over 17 years of teaching experience in classrooms and in one to one tutoring settings. I believe in lifelong learning. I graduated with a Bachelor of Education in Elementary with a Math and Science specialization. I also completed a Diploma in Early Years Education, Certificate in Kindergarten, Diploma in Special Education, and Certificate in TESL (Teaching English as a Second Language). I have worked with student ages from Pre-K to Grade 12.
