What was a typical day like for people living in Ancient Greece? This class will explore what it was like for ordinary people who lived in Ancient Greece. We will discuss the following topics: - What did a typical town in Ancient Greece look like? - What did people eat? - What kinds of clothes did people wear? - What kinds of jobs did people have? - What was life like for women? - Did children go to school? - What did people do for fun? - Did they have slaves in Ancient Greece? This one-time class will be taught with presentation slides, images, video clips, and discussion. No prior knowledge about Ancient Greece is required for this class. We will discuss slavery briefly in this class. People did have slaves in Ancient Greece. Slaves in Ancient Greece were usually captured in war.

Hello families!
My name is Linda Lu. I teach English Language Arts and social studies at a middle school in the United States.
My education includes a Master's Degree in Teaching and a Bachelor's degree in English. I'm a licensed teacher in the state of North Carolina. I'm certified to teach English Language Arts, Reading, English as a Second Language, and Social Studies.
I have been teaching since 2012. My teaching experience includes teaching in South Korea, Japan, and China for a total of 4 years. During this time, I taught students of all ages, including elementary, middle school/junior high, and high school.
Currently, I teach high school English Language Arts and World History. My experience as a teacher in North Carolina includes experience with elementary, middle, and high school students.
I believe students learn best when they are engaged and having fun while they learn. I love classroom discussions where student can share their stories and perspectives. We can learn so much from listening to each other.
I also like to engage students with games, video clips, and other interactive activities as much as possible during lessons.
My hobbies are reading novels, watching movies, hiking, and traveling. I also love to spend time with family, friends, and my dog.
