Combating cyberbullying and staying safe is not as difficult as it may seem. Having a smartphone, tablet and the 24-7 access to the world that comes with those devices can be a great thing, but can also prove to be frustrating and hazardous. Learn what to look out for, what to avoid, and how to deal with those keyboard trolls. The internet harbors many hidden dangers, but also offers many doors to knowledge. I will show you what to look out for and more importantly how to handle yourself when you come across bullies and dangers on the internet.
Other Details
Parental Guidance
Based on the maturity level of the learners in attendance I will share some of the hidden details of the dangers that can lay behind the screen of their phones and tablets. As a former police officer for over 27 years I have investigated and handled many cases where children and teenagers have been taken advantage of or bullied by others on the internet. Knowledge is the best form of protection for them and I will share what I have learned over the years from other kids and teens just like your children.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I was a former police officer with 27 years of service. I spent 12 of those years working in some of the largest high schools and middle school in the state of Texas. The hazards of connecting to the outside world through a cell phone or a laptop are many. I will share what all those years taught me on how your children can exercise good judgement and be on the lookout for those pitfalls that lay waiting.
