In this class, learners will focus on CVC words. Word Families - Focus On: -ag, -ig, -og, -ug. CVC words are essential to learning how to transform sounds into words. This phonemic awareness skill is vital to learning how to blend and read. Learn how to read CVC words through blending letter sounds, engaging activities, games, and lots of repetition. Your child should have a whiteboard, marker, and eraser to practice words during class. Your child will need a tub of playdough, crayons, and a pencil. Class 3: Focus On: Word Families: -ag, -ig, -og, -ug Week 1: -ag family Week 2: -ig family Week 3: -og family Week 4: -ug family I am a licensed teacher with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education with more than 13 years of experience teaching children in a school setting. In addition, I hold a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction, emphasizing STEAM and Online Teaching and Learning Certification.
Learning Goals
Students will blend sounds and make words with each word family. Students will engage in a variety of activities to practice word families. Students will recognize rhyming words. Students will sort words.

Learning Needs
As an educator, I am committed to supporting students with unique learning needs by creating an inclusive and adaptive learning environment. I employ differentiated instruction, using visual aids, hands-on activities, and technology.
Supply List
Students will need to print the weekly activity to practice each word family. If you are unable to print, you will need some paper and writing tools. Your child should have a whiteboard, marker, and eraser to practice words during class. Your child will need a tub of playdough, crayons, and a pencil.
