To ensure effective tutoring, the teacher suggests meeting 2x per week. Book additional recurring meetings after the initial purchase.

Depending on the beginning level of the student and the amount of time spent practicing skills and reading independently, you can expect them to:
- Learn 5 or more sight words a week
- Progress in the length and difficulty in the level of books they are able to read
- Increase ability to use phonetic clues and other strategies to read new words 
- Show understanding of what they have read and build comprehension skills
- Increase legibility of handwriting 
- Increase length of written sentences 
Overall this is a combined approach to becoming a fluent reader and writer. 

Homework Offered
Students will be asked to read independently at least 10 minutes a day. Depending on the focus of our work there - homework will vary and at least 10 minutes between sessions will be expected and then sent back to me for review.   Students will be expected to practice sight words and read assigned books.
