This cursive writing class is for students who have either taken my Beginner Cursive Handwriting course or have been taught formal cursive writing previously. We will be taking our cursive writing to the next level, and using our skills to do some creative writing. I will begin by assessing the students to see how well they can write in cursive. Then we will get creative and produce some fun cursive writing assignments. In week one we will learn how to write a silly sentence in cursive using our names in alliteration. In week two I will teach them the longest word in the English language and we'll write it. Then they will create their own longest word to write. In week three we will write our own haiku poems in cursive. In week four they will write a letter to their parents in cursive. Each week we will also practice reading something in cursive because that is just as important to know how to do.
