Class Experience

I welcome learners who are reviewing cursive or learning cursive. Cursive is a dying art, yet it's beautiful, efficient, and the brain remembers more information from notes physically written - as compared to notes taken electronically. There are so many reasons to learn cursive!

The course also works for those wanting to make their printing more neat. We focus on different letters each day. When time allows at the end, we practice letter joining (cursive), words, and sentences. I like to keep the class light, we share cheesy jokes and chit chat during each feedback cycle.

At the beginning of each class, each student will introduce themselves. I will review the proper posture, paper position, and the strokes used to form the letters for the day. I will model the letters on the screen - with visual and verbal prompts. Then, one letter at a time, students will trace the letter on a printout provided and write the letter independently on lined paper. I will provide feedback in terms of size, spacing, slant, and shape for each letter during the class.
Learning Goals
Students will learn to write the letters of the day in lowercase printing or cursive.
