Dungeons and Dragons is a game that is set with certain milestones in the story to be achieved. When students reach these milestones, their characters will level up and they will learn new strategies to explore in the game.Class Experience
Hello and welcome to the story of Barovia! In this 12 week course, students will begin to explore Dungeons and Dragons in a high-levelled campaign. This campaign is a bit more darker than others as there is a curse on the land that they need to figure out how to resolve, fix, or even add to the curse if they so desire. The importance of high levelled campaigns is to tell a great story. Your children will learn more about storytelling elements, how to think in character, solve the problems of the land, and learn more about high levelled combat. This course is meant to be a bit challenging, but there are also going to be plenty of fun moments as not all of the people in Barovia are about the curse, vampires, or werewolves. Some love to entertain, share their stories, and even help your characters explore the land. There will be a mix of dark themes, comedy, and creative storytelling where they can change the outcome in anyway they can think of. Please make sure your child has a level 8 character for this campaign as we dive into the cursed lands right in the first session of this class. The rough schedule or plan for the class is as follows: Feb. 11th (Week 1): Introducing the Story and Setting the Scene of the Campaign Feb. 18th (Week 2): Learning more about the Curse Feb. 25th (Week 3): Helping, Solving, or Adding to the World Mar. 4th (Week 4): Wizards and Wine? Mar. 11th (Week 5): Creatures of the Night Mar. 18th (Week 6): Tarot Readings and Cursed Items Mar. 25th (Week 7): Following the Trails and Crumbs April 1st (Week 8): Tricks and Ghouls April 8th (Week 9): Castle Ravenloft and the Lord of Barovia April 15th (Week 10): Thrones, Meals, and a Dance? April 22nd (Week 11): Battles and the Final Stand April 29th (Week 12): Results, Hopes, or Despair

Other Details
Parental Guidance
With this particular campaign, some themes will be dark, including some instances of undead creatures or forcing villagers into doing things not pleasant. I have worked hard to make this campaign kid-friendly and have changed a lot of the more harsher themes from the actual campaign book, so nothing terrible or drastic is planned.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I am passionate about D&D and believe that despite darker themes in this campaign and scarier creatures, I have made the class more fun, engaging, and safe, while still staying true to the story. I have played through this entire campaign before and know what to keep in and what to leave out due to sensitivity and adult themes.
