In this four-week course, we will be creating interactive notebooks with Curiosity Chronicles Snapshots of Early Modern History

Class experience

Students will gain an understanding of Early Modern History. They will learn how civilizations interacted, and create a timeline to understand how many cultures developed across time.
I have a BS degree in Elementary Education with an endorsement in Social Studies.
Learners will need:
A composition notebook into which to glue their projects
glue or tape
scissors
crayons or markers
Curiosity Chronicles Interactive Notebooking pages (provided by teacher before class begins)
This class will involve using scissors and glue, as well as markers and/or crayons.

Any potentially emotionally charged expressions around issues in history and/or events occurring to marginalized communities will be handled with sensitivity. Children will be invited to look at issues from all sides, and together we will determine what impacts different decisions had on the communities involved - with the actual impact on the marginalized community firmly at the fore.
This class will use the Curiosity Chronicles Interactive Notebooking curriculum for the globally minded child, public domain photographs, primary source documents, and insights from texts such as "America: The Story of Us," "A Brief History of Japanese Civilization" and more.
